11-inch Comtoise clock with a pressed pendulum from around 1880/90. Central seconds display with power reserve through maintaining power and Graham escapement (see detail photo), which is rarely found in Comtoise clock movements. The commonly used escapement was the French pinwheel escapement by Amant.
Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. Decorative plate and pendulum marked: Depose CN.
The seconds hand was made from a Breguet minute hand and hour hand and is therefore not the clock’s original hand.
