10-inch Comtoise clock with anchor escapement and moon phase display, brass embossed oval decorative plate, and pressed pendulum featuring depictions of doves. Half-hour and hour strike on a bell with repetition. Glass dial with black Roman numerals painted on the reverse and signed: A. CART & Co, BREVETÉS SGDG, including an aperture for the moon phase display.
A disc (not manually adjustable) with 4 moon cycles (118 days) is driven by various gear trains, resembling a perpetual calendar. A correction or reconfiguration is required only after many years.
