Nr. 157 CUM
11-inch Comtoise clock with 4 bells and central seconds hand from around 1880. Pinwheel escapement (Amant) with central seconds hand and lyre pendulum. Quarter striking on 3 bells, followed by the full hour strike after each quarter strike—referred to as Grande Sonnerie (similar to the Viennese quarter-hour strike). Comtoise clocks with true Grande Sonnerie are quite rare; usually, the full hour strike is only performed after the quarter strike of the full hour.
