Comtoise ornamental plate and dial with plate movement and plate movement with Comtoise ornamental plate and dial from the period around 1855/60. 8-day cable movement with Brocot escapement ( steel pallets ) and half-hourly strike on bell with repetition of the full hour strike. Enamel dial with Roman numerals, Comtoise hands. Although the accessories such as the dial, ornamental plate and hands are certainly from Morez, the movement itself was not made there; it could come from Haute-Saône or Haute-Marne.
