10-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from 1855/60. Decorative plate with embossed dial and numbers painted on cartouches. In the gable, which is accented with a bead, a rural scene: a midday rest. Hands with iron shafts and attached brass floral stars. There are other models of this embossed type. See also fig. Nr. 135 CUM, a very similar clock in which the dial was cut out and replaced with an enamel dial. The minute ring was left in place, resulting in a clock with two minute rings.
