Comtoise clock with anchor escapement and pressed pendulum from around 1880/90. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. Alabaster dial with applied enamel cartouches. This model, crafted by Léon Paget (decorative plate and pendulum marked LP), depicts a monk kneeling with a rosary in hand before a tombstone, which incorporates a thermometer.
