Nr. 151 CUM
Comtoise with anchor escapement and lyre pendulum from around 1870. Quarter-hour strike (Petite Sonnerie) on two stacked bells. The entire strike mechanism consists of only three large levers, each made from a single piece and partially bent. The large scythe rake uses its levers to strike both the quarter-hour scale on the minute wheel and the hourly scale on the hour wheel. The advantage of this construction of a quarter-hour strike mechanism over traditional designs certainly lies in material and time savings during manufacture. (See also Nr. 107 CUM and Nr. 153 CUM)
