10-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1855. Full-hour strike on bell with repetition after 2 minutes, alarm mechanism, single-piece embossed decorative plate with a cowherd, cow, herding dog, 2 sheep, and a goat. Enamel dial signed: J Baudoin à Hardimont. The bars of the Roman numerals are enameled in blue (cobalt oxide). In clock Nr. 325 CUM, not only the bars of the Roman numerals but also the minute ring were enameled in blue. 'Blue' numerals are very rarely found on Comtoise clocks from the 19th century.
