Nr. 139 CUM

9-inch Comtoise clock from around 1820/25. Two-part pressed decorative plate with a sun face (without ribbon), a large vase, and two winged dragons. Enamel dial with quarter-hour markings, where these Arabic numerals are inserted into recesses in the minute track (see detail photo). Anchor escapement with a small anchor, which spans only 3 1/2 teeth. Minute and hour wheels are still made of iron. Folded pendulum, strike on bell with repetition. Passing half-hour strike. Full-hour strike with repetition and strike release by spring pressure.
