9-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1880/1890, one-piece pressed decorative plate depicting a large fruit bowl, framed on the sides by ears of grain. In the upper corner decorations, 10-petaled flowers on a leaf; in the lower corner decorations, vine leaves and grapes. A rarely found decorative plate motif.
Hour strike on bell with repetition of the hour strike. Enamel dial signed: 1ère Qualité J.MAHÉ à Guéméné-s/s-Scroff
