No. 541 CUM 11-inch Comtoise 8-day clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1845, depicting a flute player serenading his beloved. Two-part embossed decorative plate with extension underneath. Half hour and full hour strike on bell with repeater.  Chased star hands. Enamel dial with Roman numerals sign: Bouron fils à Sainte Dial diameter: 245 Cage dimensions: 312 x 276 x 150 HxWxD / Movement dimensions: 440 x 277 x 175 HxWxD. Chimney: 44, pendulum length: ca.1340 (all dimensions in mm) The lower extension was often cut off as a strip from this ornamental plate and then mounted on 11-inch cages with other 10-inch ornamental plates, of which there were no special stamping tools for 11-inch clocks, cf. illustrations of clock no. 537 CUM
