10-inch Comtoise month clock with two-part embossed dragon motif ornamental plate from around 1825, enamel dial with small Roman numerals and small Arabic quarter-hour numerals, verge escapement with folded pendulum, sun hand, half and full hour strike on bell with repeater. As the lower, wider half of the dial could not be obtained by cutting off the decorative corners from the upper embossed part, nor could it be covered with smooth sheet brass or with a piece of decorative sheet metal cut through the embossed dragon motif approx. 3 cm above the beading, a special embossing tool was created for this clock to match the style of the upper part.
