Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from 1844. Two-part embossed decorative plate with sun head motif, cornucopias and acanthus. 8-day cable movement with verge escapement. 3 plates with stamped lettering: “St.CHAMOND”. 4/4 strike grande sonnerie on 4 bells. Separate hour strike approx. 2 minutes before the full hour, followed by the 4/4 strike with subsequent second full hour strike. Weight-loaded striking mechanism release. The date is indicated by a central hand and the moon phases behind a small window in the area of the embossed decorative plate between VII and VIII. Star hands with decorated surfaces. Enamel dial signed: Michel Pommier à St. Amour 1844
