No. 433 CUM
A very unusual experiment of a “Comtoise plate clock movement” from the period around 1840/50. Comtoise wheel sets between iron plates with bushed brass bearings, escapement 6 ½ teeth overlapping, pin wheel with pins ( no star ), typical drop rake, entire striking train cadraktur on the front plate. An upper and lower part punched and bent from sheet iron and then screwed on brings the movement to a size of 9 inches ( approx. 25 cm ), so that any conventional 9-inch dial / decorative plate can be mounted. It remained an experiment, because such movements are extremely rare.
Plate clock movement: 166 x 137 x 66 HxWxD
Movement dimensions: 320 x 153 x 135 HxWxD
Pendulum length: approx. 1000
Dial diameter: approx. 230 ( all dimensions in mm )
