Nr. 165 CUM

10-inch Comtoise clock movement with spindle escapement and folded pendulum, half-hour and full-hour strike on gong with repetition.
Strike mechanism triggered by weight load. Two-part decorative metalwork from the period around 1845/50. Motif: Flower fall, with open shells in the four corners.
Dial with floral decoration signed: Clerc horloger de Genève.
The hands are fitted with a grid. These hands were stamped from a brass sheet, which already had the surface structure, presumably pressed with a corresponding roller.
While the previously used sun and star hands were individually made, the hand in this clock is a pre-stamped standard hand.
