10-inch Comtoise clock mechanism with verge escapement and folded pendulum from the year 1837. Half-hour strike en passant, full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. Two-piece brass decorative plate featuring two dragons igniting a palm leaf growing out of a fruit bowl. Symbolically, this represents the victory of good (palm leaf) over evil (dragons). Enamel dial with arcade minute track (à la Dauphine), short-stroke Roman numerals, and floral decoration.
