9 inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and foldable pendulum from the period 1840. Alarm clock movement. Two-part embossed brass decorative sheet with palmette over a cup filled with flowers and fruit, framed on the side by horns of plenty and laurel. In the 4 corners of the dial there are trophies with flowers and garlands. Half and full hour chimes on the bell with repetition after 2 minutes. Oval plaque screwed onto the movement: SONNERIE PERFECTIONNEE Brevet AUG ste GIROD a MOREZ (JURA) N. 705 (see also No. 205 CUM / Girod number 484).
