Nr. 188 CUM

10-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from 1846. Half-hour and full-hour strike on a bell with repetition. One-piece decorative plate (from 1846) made of embossed brass with a romantic motif: The flutist serenades his beloved. The edge of the decorative plate is marked: D Paget DEPOSE.

Since the patent for embossing one-piece decorative plates was granted to the Reydol company in Paris on February 28, 1843, for a period of 5 years, and the Paget company embossed one-piece decorative plates in 1846, it is assumed that Paget received a license or permission from Reydol to do so.
