Nr. 362 CUM
10-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1830/35. Half-hour striking en passant, full-hour striking on a bell with repetition. Two-part pressed decorative plate with a sun head (Apollo) and ribbon over a flower basket, flanked by acanthus and two pine cones. Enamel dial with small Roman hour numerals and Arabic date numerals. Date hand with a missing tip. The date mechanism is particularly interesting, with its driving wheel located on the hour pipe between the hour wheel and the hour snail. At this time, date displays were quite rare.
