9-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1830, traditional sun-head/cornucopia motif. Three-quarter strike on 3 bells (Petite Sonnerie), repetition of the hour strike. The striking mechanism exhibits a rare variant where the entire lifting pin shaft is shifted, rather than the hammer feet of the quarter-hour striking shafts being disengaged, as is usually the case.
