No. 495 CUM
Comtoise with 4/4 strike on 3 bells, verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1820. The lower half of the dial is still covered with sheet brass, as can also be found on contemporary clocks with cast clasps, whereas the upper half of the dial is already covered with an embossed decorative plate, as first introduced by Leon Paget around 1810. The decorative plate with palmette over stele, flanked by winged dragons and stylized laurel, was first embossed around 1820. In this clock, the enamel dial still rests on the ornamental plate and brass cover; a short time later, the embossed dragon motif was embossed as a standard motif with a dial bead, so that the ornamental plate lies above the dial. 3/4 strike on 2 bells and 4/4 strike on 2 bells with full hour strike on 3rd bell and repetition of the full hour strike after 2 minutes.
