Comtoise clock with 25 enamel cartouches from the Louis XV period around 1765/70, verge escapement and lead pendulum, half hour strike en passant, full hour strike on bell without repeater, release lever of the large lever system mounted in a bridge (see detailed photo). Sawn iron hands, enamel cartouches with *black* Roman numerals, which were painted almost *black* with manganese oxide and fired, no relief-like bars on the numerals.
The original Bourbon fleurs-de-lys under the cock in the emblem were probably filed away during the French Revolution ( see detailed photo )
