10-inch Comtoise clock with verge escapement and folded pendulum from around 1840/1845, featuring a sunburst motif and a rare striking mechanism variant (see also Fig. Nr. 205 CUM / Patent No. 484 / small movement cage). An oval plaque is screwed onto the top plate of the cage: SONNERIE PERFECTIONNEE BREVET N 697 AUGste GIROD A MOREZ (JURA). This striking mechanism variant also never became standard.
